GCN Matrix – Type A
+ About +
GCN Matrix is my own personal fork of a game program called “Matrix”.
“Matrix” is a “Type-in” program written in the Sinclair 8K BASIC programming language designed to run on Sinclair ZX81 systems that have 16KB of memory. It was created by T.J. Marrow/James Marrow and it’s listing was published in the June 1983 issue of “Sinclair Programs” magazine by ECC Publications of London in 1983 – ISSN No. 0263-0265.
The “Type A” designation in this case means that this fork shall use the same alphanumeric based interface during gameplay as the original “Matrix” program.
The purpose of the “GCN” prefix is to help distinguish it from the original program and other possible versions/forks.
+ Implementations +
Implementations are forks of GCN Matrix – Type A. The idea behind this scheme is to provide flexibility to attempt to “implement” the same general concept using different development methods.
The implementations that have currently been released are as follows:
| Implementation | Target platform(s) | Development method |
| Imp00001 | Sinclair ZX81 systems that have 16KB of memory | Sinclair 8K BASIC |
| Imp00002 | Sinclair ZX Spectrum systems that have 48KB of memory | Sinclair 48 BASIC |
| Imp00003 | Atari Jaguar | JagStudio v1.11 & JagStudio v1.11 BASIC |
