GCN Ghost Chase – Type A
+ About +
GCN Ghost Chase is my own personal fork of a game program called “Ghost Chase”.
“Ghost Chase” is an old “Type-in” program written in the Sinclair 48 BASIC programming language designed to run on the Sinclair ZX Spectrum range of computers. It was created by Neal Cavalier—Smith and Graham White and it’s listing was published in the book “49 Explosive Games for the ZX Spectrum” which was authored by Tim Hartnell and published by Interface Publications in 1983 – ISBN 0 907563 53 8.
The “Type A” designation in this case means that this fork shall use the same flat two dimensional graphics with top-down viewpoint during gameplay as the original “Ghost Chase” program.
The purpose of the “GCN” prefix is to help distinguish it from the original program and other possible versions/forks.
+ Implementations +
Implementations are forks of GCN Ghost Chase – Type A. The idea behind this scheme is to provide flexibility to attempt to “implement” the same general concept using different development methods.
The implementations that have currently been released are as follows:
| Implementation | Target platform(s) | Development method |
| Imp00001 | Sinclair ZX Spectrum compatible hardware and software | Sinclair 48 BASIC |
| Imp00002 | Nintendo Game Boy Color compatible hardware and software | GB Studio 4.X |
| Imp00003 | Nintendo Game Boy compatible hardware and software | GB Studio 4.X |
